Tuition & Financial Assistance

FACTS is the Bishop England student information system. Every family must set up a payment plan through FACTS during the enrollment or re-enrollment process.

Additional fees may be assessed via the payment plan/payment method your family sets up in the FACTS family portal. These could include sports team fees, AP testing fees, and other class fees (Physical Education uniforms, online materials, etc.)

Bishop England High School does not offer any type of merit or athletic scholarship to attend.  We do offer some tuition assistance based solely on need.  Realizing that the need far outweighs the amount of money currently available for tuition assistance, the school must be diligent in assuring an equitable distribution of the money raised through the N.J. Theos Tuition Assistance Fund. Therefore, we have contracted with FACTS, an independent company that specializes in tuition distribution for Catholic schools to assist us with this process. By working with an outside agency, we are better able to assure impartial determinations and protect the confidentiality of our families. The process to apply for assistance through FACTS will take place during the months of February and March for money given in the next school year. A student must be accepted and registered before a parent or guardian may apply for tuition assistance. Applications for tuition assistance are due by April 15.  You may direct any of your questions to our finance manager, Mrs. Kelly Tapp at extension 143 or email her.

For those families who plan to pay the full tuition in the month of July, there is a 2% discount reducing the total amount owed.

For those students who are enrolled in the Options Program or who qualify for accommodations based on a diagnosis from a psycho-educational evaluation completed by a certified professional, there is a state funded program to assist families in tuition cost called Exceptional SC. Exceptional SC is a 501(c)(3) charity that accepts donations for the purpose of providing scholarships to exceptional needs K-12 students to attend independent educational institutions. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be residents of SC, be eligible to attend a public school, and have a diagnosed disability (autism, deafness and hearing impairment, emotional disability, mental disability, orthopedic, other health impairment, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, visual impairment). More information is available on the Exceptional SC website. Parents who wish to be considered to receive funds from Exceptional SC Scholarships must apply directly through Exceptional SC (not Bishop England High School). Please note that recipients of the ESTF scholarship cannot also be recipients of Exceptional SC Scholarships. Exceptional SC will begin accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year at noon on June 1st. The application portal will remain open until September 30, 2026.

The Education Scholarship Trust Fund Program is administered by the South Carolina Department of Education that allows qualifying South Carolina families to apply for a scholarship. Families can use scholarship funds to create a customized, flexible education for their student, including paying for approved expenses like tuition, textbooks, tutoring, educational therapies and enrollment fees.  For the 2025-2026 school year, the award amount is $7,500. For the 2026-2027 school year, the awarded amount will be $7,634.

To qualify for the 2026-2027 school year, the student must:

• Be a resident of South Carolina; AND
• Must be a K-12 student, has not graduated and has not reached the age of 22; AND
• Have a household income that does not exceed 500% of the federal poverty guidelines.
• Cannot attend their resident public school for the 2026-2027 school year.
  NOTE: Your resident public school is the school that your student is zoned to attend, based on your address. As part of participation in the ESTF program, a student must be withdrawn from their resident public school.
• Cannot receive the Educational Credit for Exceptional Needs Children for the 2026-2027 school year.
