Bishop England High School is the oldest and largest Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Charleston, and is often called the “Flagship” school of the Diocese.  Founded on September 22, 1915, the school celebrates over 100 years of faith formation, academic excellence, and athletic success.  The school builds on this foundation of success to create a future that will prepare our students for the challenges of tomorrow.

Bishop England High School has a highly qualified faculty and staff with 64% of our classroom teachers holding a Master’s degree or higher.  The school’s Options and Accommodations programs create a truly inclusive environment that serves all learners.  Bishop England has an active Campus Ministry program, prayer and sacramental opportunities, over 30 clubs and organizations, and 20 varsity sports that support the student’s spiritual, intellectual and physical growth.

The school has a 99% graduation rate with typically over 96% of graduates continuing their education at a college or university.  Bishop England High School offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses in grades ten, eleven and twelve and honors courses at all grade levels.  Our students consistently achieve at a high level on the Advanced Placement tests, compete for a nationally recognized athletic program with over 152 state championships, and endear audiences with their theatrical, vocal and artistic talents.
