One of the favorite parts of my job on the Bishop England campus is meeting new families and sharing the story of our school and what it has to offer…especially the fact that we are so fortunate to begin each day in prayer as a community.  Having been in existence in the Charleston area for more than 100 years, we have a very solid foundation as a school, but we strive to better ourselves in all aspects of the school day on a regular basis.  One of our main goals for each child is to assist him/her in strengthening his/her relationship with God.

In line with our mission, we accept students spanning a wide range of ability levels and customize the schedule to reflect those academic strengths.  Our rigor in the classroom helps students to improve standardized testing scores as the high school years pass.  There exists a high level of expectation in a student’s behavior on campus and in the community; students are expected to conduct themselves with class.   We encourage each child to be involved outside the classroom in a club, fine art activity, service organization or sport.  We endeavor to impress upon the students that representing your school while in uniform and at events is a privilege.
