We are thankful to have had Ricky and Sarah Shoop as our guest speakers for our students. They shared their thoughts on identity, emphasizing the importance of filling our lives with God instead of material possessions or worldly desires. Sarah encouraged the students to reflect on their inner selves and identify who they are and aspire to be.

Ricky and Sarah Shoop and their four children are an adventurous family. Ricky, a convert to the Catholic Faith in college, has been working with youth and families in ministry for the last 14 years and is pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Sarah, who grew up Catholic and experienced a profound reversion later as a young adult, has a master’s in theology and bioethics from Holy Apostles College. Their family loves hiking, baking, reading, and anything outdoors-related. They currently reside in central Ohio.
